About this file

This document is a resolution from the City of Gloversville, New York accepting a proposal from HRP Associates, Inc. to undertake a flood hazard risk reduction and enhanced flood resiliency project. The city had previously issued an RFP for an environmental firm to perform this work, and after reviewing two proposals, selected HRP Associates as the best fit. The project objective is to reduce flood hazard risk on selected parcels within flood zones that are targeted for redevelopment and enhance flood resiliency. The study will evaluate flood impacts, map flood areas, and identify flood mitigation measures for at least three priority sites.

The related state and local contract opportunity indicates this project is part of a larger effort to redevelop Brownfield sites along the Cayadutta and Mill Creeks, which are located in flood zones. The contract has a one-year term and includes Minority, Women, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned business contracting goals of 15%, 15%, and 5% respectively. There are no Disadvantaged business goals. The contract is funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), and the selected firm must comply with NYSDEC terms and conditions.
