4.a

During the site visit, it was stated that the only work done in the Portals building was cleaning the refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, and coffee pots in the kitchen areas once a week on Friday. The PWS, page 44, states we are to provide all standard services once per week on Friday. Exhibit 1, Appendix A indicates 37,000 square feet (SF) in the portal building that require standard service. Will the Government please clarify if we are to provide complete standard services to 37,000 SF in the Portals building on Fridays or only clean the appliances in the kitchen area?

The only standard service at the Portals is the cleaning of the refrigerators, freezers, microwaves, and coffee pots in the kitchen areas on Fridays.

During our walkthrough, our team on the site visit noticed that the current contractor was using electrostatic sprayers. Are those required, and by extension, are any other specialty pieces of equipment required, and if so, is that at the contractors cost?

Electrostatic sprayers were acquired by the Museum for use by the Housekeeping Contractor as a cleaning method in response to COVID-19.

Equipment required for use under this contract is the Whittaker carpet cleaning system referenced in the PWS V.A.2e.(4) and VI.A.3.Unless otherwise noted in the PWS, resources utilized and methods of performance are to be based on the requirements of the RFP and the Contractor’s expertise and determined by offerors.

Is there a website or portal where we could get a copy of the facilities map?

Floorplans have been posted as a new protected file on sam.gov. Offerors who have successfully met the mandatory walkthrough requirements may request access on SAM.

If possible, could we get a schedule of staffing to tailor resources & quotes accordingly?

This information will not be provided. As stated in the RFP, the Performance Work Statement describes the work in terms of the required results rather than either "how" the work is to be accomplished or the number of hours to be provided. These specifications express the Government’s requirements in the form of minimum quality standards. Work schedules, frequencies, resources utilized, and methods of performance are to be based on the requirements of the RFP and the Contractor’s expertise and determined by offerors.

What areas are cleaned upon request? Which areas of these areas are standard services and which are above standard?

Marked floor plans have been posted as a new protected file on sam.gov.

Offerors who have successfully met the mandatory walkthrough requirements may request access on SAM. Upon request areas at the Shapell Center are above standard "reimbursable" and upon request areas at the Museum and the Ross Administrative Center are standard services (not reimbursable) and treated as a service request. These services are not frequently requested.
