About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to a sealed bid solicitation issued by St. Tammany Parish Government, Department of Procurement, for the purchase of four blower packages. The addendum, dated July 30, 2026, addresses questions submitted by bidders regarding the one-time purchase of blowers (Bid #26-38-2) with a bid due date of Wednesday, August 5, 2026. The solicitation calls for four units of 36 URAI blower packages or approved equivalents, each equipped with a 7.5 HP motor at 1750 RPM, 460-volt three-phase 60Hz TEFC premium efficiency motor, intake and discharge silencers, acoustically insulated enclosure, relief valve set at 6 PSI, and all necessary accessories for complete installation and operation. The blowers are intended for outdoor installation and will be used to move air for a packaged wastewater treatment plant operated by the Department of Utilities. Delivery must be made to 636 W. 26th Ave., Covington, Louisiana 70433 via flat-bed truck with 24-hour advance notice, and delivery must occur prior to noon on a working day within 182 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.

The addendum clarifies critical specifications in response to bidder questions, including confirmation that the blowers will operate at 5 PSI discharge pressure, must be fully enclosed in a sound-attenuated metal/steel package, and must not exceed 70 dBA at 30 feet. The Parish noted that it does not have detailed information regarding operating flow rate, inlet vacuum, or other performance specifications at the time of the addendum, deferring to the discharge pressure requirement of 5 PSI. All equipment must be new and current manufacture with a one-year warranty covering faulty material, workmanship, and design, including replacement parts and repairs at no cost. The lump sum price bid is F.O.B. destination and includes all delivery costs, freight, and applicable federal, state, and parish taxes. Acceptable manufacturers are Kaiser, Arezen, and Roots. Award notification is expected within 45 calendar days after bid opening, with the successful bidder required to execute the contract within 10 days of notice.
