NOTICE TO OFFERORS:
As you are aware, the budget for fiscal year 2018 beyond January 19, 2018, has not been enacted and may result in a lapse in the funds designated to purchase certain supplies and services as well as reduction in the Government's capacity to administer ED contracts. As a consequence of the lapse, certain planned procurements may be suspended or cancelled, and certain existing contracts may be stopped, reduced in scope, terminated or partially terminated. Should ED determine that any of these actions are necessary the cognizant ED Contracting Officer will provide specific notice to current contractors, as well as offerors and potential offerors on solicited contract actions that have not yet been awarded, regarding the status of such contract(s).
SBIR STATUS: THE DUE DATE FOR THE PROPOSALS HAS BEEN AMENDED TO A DATE YET TO BE
DETERMINED (TBD).
The due date for the submission of proposals will be extended until such time as determined by the
Contracting Officer, upon resuming full Department operations. The Contracting Officer will notify offerors of the new due date by updating this notice on Federal Business Opportunities.
OFFERORS SHOULD CONTINUE TO MONITOR THIS SITE FOR UPDATES. OFFERORS SHOULD BE READY TO
SUBMIT PROPOSALS AND EXPECT THAT AT LEAST ONE (1) WEEK NOTICE WILL BE PROVIDED IN ADVANCE
OF THE NEW SOLICITATION CLOSING DATE.
