About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers related to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the procurement of FDOT Approved Products List (APL) Traffic Equipment (REBID). The ITB has a bid number of DOT-ITB-24-9098-SJ and an opening date of Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM EST. The bid is for the procurement of various Alpha Technologies Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) products, including the FXM 350, FXM 650, FXM 1100, and FXM 2000 series. Vendors are not required to bid on all items, and the department does not provide the configurations for the UPS products, as the vendor is responsible for bidding the configurations that meet the department's specifications, including the required run times.
The contract will be awarded to multiple vendors, and the successful bidders will be added to the FDOT APL for traffic equipment. The contract is open to all interested and qualified vendors, and there are no set-asides or incumbents mentioned. The contract will be funded through FDOT's budget, and the pricing terms and funding sources are not explicitly stated in the document.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Question 1 Question, If we decide to bid on this bid, do we have to bid on all items?
Answer 1 No, vendors are not required to bid on all items.
Question 2
Our technical support team has asked if you could provide the configurations for the ALPHA TECHNOLOGIES products requested on lines 11-14 of the excel spreadsheet?
Alpha Technologies Uninterruptible Power Supply FXM 350 Series
Alpha Technologies Uninterruptible Power Supply FXM 650 Series
Alpha Technologies Uninterruptible Power Supply FXM 1100 Series
Alpha Technologies Uninterruptible Power Supply FXM 2000 Series
Answer 2
The Department does not provide the configurations. The vendor bids the configurations. The vendor should keep in mind that the configuration needs to provide run times that meet our specifications. This means batteries are included.
Support supplies can be used to provide individual components of the system, like the UPS without the batteries.
