About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers related to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the procurement of a CNC Plasma Cutter and Table. The ITB has a bid opening date of October 31, 2024 at 2:00 pm local time. The ITB includes requirements for shipping, installation, and training to be included in the bid price. The FDOT specifies that the table should have an industrial finish to reduce wear and tear, and that the software must be able to work with or accept MasterCam design programming. The FDOT cannot confirm any specific brand or model, but provides the Lincoln Electric Torchmate 4510 and the Piranha plasma cutting tables with a 5'x10' B Series table as approved examples.
The ITB requires all bidders to be registered in the State of Florida's MyFloridaMarketplace system and properly licensed if the business being provided requires individuals to be licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The contract will be subject to the MFMP Transaction Fee unless the transaction is exempt, and the FDOT will ensure minority and disadvantaged business enterprises have the full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination.
