About this file

This document is a Subcontractor Letter of Intent form for the Hillsborough County Small Business Encouragement Program, designed to document potential subcontractor relationships for county bids and proposals. The form is intended to be completed by a prime bidder/proposer and a registered Small Business Enterprise (SBE), outlining the scope of work and estimated dollar amount for subcontractor participation. The form requires detailed contact information for both the primary bidder and the SBE firm, and mandates signatures from authorized representatives of both parties to confirm the accuracy of the information.

The form supports Hillsborough County's small business initiative by providing a standardized method for documenting intended subcontractor relationships. It allows flexibility for different types of solicitations, including work order/term contracts, professional services, and CCNA (Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act) projects, with provisions to leave certain fields blank depending on the specific procurement method. The document emphasizes transparency and commitment between prime contractors and small business subcontractors, serving as a preliminary agreement that captures the intended scope of work and potential financial arrangement prior to the final contract award.
