About this file
This is an award memo issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services regarding contract NC27-108 for Deer Valley Fuels Reduction & Forest Health Improvement. The solicitation, conducted by the Forestry, Fire, & State Lands division, sought a single contract award for cut and pile work according to the specified Scope of Work in Attachment B. Participation was limited to prequalified contractors only, and a mandatory site visit was required as detailed in the Scope of Work. The procurement was structured as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) intended to result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor.
The award memo announces the intent to award the contract and identifies the intended awardee in accompanying award documentation available on the public purchasing website. The awarded vendor must not commence work, purchase materials, or enter into subcontracts until both the recipient and the Division of Purchasing and General Services execute the contract or issue a purchase order. The receipt of this award notification does not constitute a binding contract; only an executed PO or signed contract creates the contractual obligation. The vendor must guarantee its pricing through project completion. Vendors have seven days from the issuance of this notice to submit written protests identifying the solicitation and detailing the nature of the protest.
