About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to Bid No. 26-0026-3 issued by the Chatham County Purchasing & Contracting Department in Georgia for the purchase of ten (10) 40-yard roll-off containers. The addendum provides clarifications and modifications to the original bid specifications based on vendor inquiries. Key specifications confirmed include the requirement for oil-based paint (water-based paint is not acceptable), lifetime warranty for hooks and hook plates, and acceptance of thicker top rails (3"x4"x3/16") than originally specified (3"x4"x1/8"). The containers must be delivered turnkey and ready for use with no installation services required, and no alternative products will be accepted. Additional clarification was provided regarding ground roller grease fittings and their typical location on the roller housing or bracket. The bid opening is scheduled for 2:00 PM on March 24, 2026, and bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum.

The addendum addresses seven questions from potential vendors regarding product specifications, paint type, component dimensions, warranty requirements, and component details. Chatham County emphasized strict adherence to specifications while accepting one modification for improved component quality. Supporting documentation, including container images referencing Posi Lock Cams and Posi Lock Keepers, is available in the solicitation's Supporting Documentation section. All bidders are responsible for incorporating the necessary changes outlined in the addendum into their proposals.
