About this file
This is an addendum issued by the City of Madison, Wisconsin Finance Department Purchasing Services on December 6, 2017, for Request for Bid (RFB) 8682-0-2017-BP regarding Personnel Duty Lockers for the Midtown District Police Station. The project specifies procurement of 58 metal duty lockers for the Women's Locker Room and 59 metal duty lockers for the Men's Locker Room, with each locker room including one ADA handicap accessible locker. The lockers must include accessories such as sloped tops, shelves, hangers, lock box compartments, and bench drawers with integral wood bench seats.
Addendum 1 clarifies critical specifications regarding the electrical components required for the project. In response to bidder inquiries, the City of Madison confirmed that the modular power distribution center specified in the original request for bid cannot be substituted with alternative electrical work performed by a licensed electrician, as such modifications would alter the scope of the rebid and prevent fair comparison of bids. All bidders were required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on RFP Form B and associated submittal documentation. The purchasing contact for additional inquiries is Brian Pittelli at the City of Madison Purchasing Services.

RE: ADDENDUM #1

Personnel Duty Lockers Rebid
Notice to All Bidders:
Please note the following responses to the questions received:
1) The "modular power distribution center" you refer to is a product offered only by Spacesaver Corporation, a company we do not represent. Can we provide a wiring system by a licensed electrician that is to code in lieu of the "modular power distribution center" you are asking for?
A) No, by adding electrical work, the scope of the RFB changes. That would equate to an evaluation that wouldn’t be comparing similar bids.
Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum accordingly on RFP Form B, Receipt Forms and Submittal Checklist.
Please direct any other questions to the Purchasing contact person below.
