About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Solid Waste Disposal Services issued by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC), soliciting proposals for waste removal and disposal services across six campus locations: Perkinston Campus, Harrison County Campus, Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Center (AMTC), George County Center, West Harrison Center, and Tradition Center. The RFP seeks a vendor to provide waste disposal services beginning November 1, 2025, with an initial one-year contract and options to renew for four additional one-year terms. Proposals are due by 2:00 pm on October 15, 2025, and can be submitted physically or electronically via Central Bidding. The college requires providers to furnish and maintain containers, provide 24-hour response time for additional pickups, and ensure uninterrupted service.
The RFP details specific container requirements for each location, including varying quantities and sizes of 4-yard, 6-yard, and 8-yard containers, with pickup frequencies ranging from one to two times per week. Bidders must provide pricing for the initial contract period and two optional renewal years, along with rates for additional services on an "as-needed" basis. Contractors must supply a copy of their landfill permit, provide proof of $1,000,000 in liability insurance, and submit references from similar service contracts. The college reserves the right to award the contract on a location-by-location basis or to a single vendor, and will evaluate proposals based on the five-year cost of service or the first-year cost, whichever is deemed most advantageous.
