The Q&A addresses two specific technical clarifications: (1) acceptance of HP toner equivalents, where the government confirmed only HP-authorized alternative products will be accepted, and (2) a correction to a CAT6 patch cord part number, specifying the need for plenum-rated cables with the correct part number ZC64P5SB-SBF007.
The solicitation is for brand name or equal cabling, IT, and office supplies supporting the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) testing laboratory located in Ft. Meade, MD. The procurement will be sourced through the EPLS (Electronic Purchasing System), with a comprehensive list of required supply items and evaluation factors incorporated in the solicitation documents. The contract opportunity was updated on July 31, 2025, with revised documentation.

Contractor Questions
1. In reviewing the solicitation 832572409 for JITC BOLT FY25 Cabling and IT Supply, I see that you are open to receiving quotes for equivalents for all products. Would you mind confirming if that holds true for the HP Toners also since there is typically a large price difference between the HP Toners and the remanufactured or alternative brand toners? Would you be willing to accept lower-priced, HP Toner equivalents?
Government Answer: If those plotter consumable cartridges and toners are fully compatible AND authorized by HP for use with HP products, I see no issues. If there is some off brand that is supposed to work, but not an HP authorized alternative product, we can’t accept or use them.
2. The part number for Item 67 is for non-plenum and the description says plenum. Please confirm which one you would like. MC64M5SB-SBF007 CAT6 Plenum Green 7' Patch Cords Snagless Boots Government Answer: These are supposed to be plenum rated not CM. The correct part number for reference is ZC64P5SB-SBF007 or of equal compatibility. This will be corrected within the EPLS.
