About this file
This document is an Amendment (001) to Request for Quote (RFQ) 80TECH25Q0103 issued by NASA's Information Technology Procurement Office for a PhotoMachining Laser Micro-Machining System. The amendment extends the RFQ response due date from August 8, 2025 to August 11, 2025 at 5:00 PM EDT and includes a Question and Answer document and a revised Statement of Work. The system will be installed at NASA Langley Research Center to support the Space Technology Mission Directorate, with a 26-week performance period after award.
The detailed requirements specify a laser system with a 40-Watt Carbide laser capable of micromachining features across various materials, featuring dual galvanometer beam delivery with focused spot sizes under 25 microns, operating at 1030, 515, and 343 nm wavelengths. The system must include a 1000mm x 500mm X/Y table, full enclosure meeting CDRH Class I laser operation standards, and will be accompanied by installation and 3 days of onsite training. Additional components include a camera system, IR and UV beam delivery system, vacuum chuck, power meter, and associated controllers and software.
