About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for Platinum and Platinum-Rhodium Sputtering Targets to support NASA Glenn Research Center's harsh environment detector effort for fission surface power applications.
The SOW specifies that NASA requires one Platinum sputtering target with a composition of 100% Pt, minimum 99.99% purity, and dimensions of 3.00" diameter by 0.250" thick. It also requires one Platinum-Rhodium sputtering target with a composition of 90wt% Pt and 10wt% Rh, minimum 99.95% purity, and the same dimensions. A Certificate of Compliance is required for each target.
The related federal contract opportunity has the Solicitation Number 80NSSC875124Q, titled "Platinum and Platinum‐Rhodium Sputtering Targets", issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), a civilian agency.

The sputtering targets shall have the specifications as follows:
Platinum Sputtering Target
Quantity: 1
Composition: Pt (100%)
Purity: 99.99% minimum
Dimensions: 3.00” diameter by 0.250” thick ±0.010”
Platinum‐Rhodium Sputtering Target
Quantity: 1
Composition: Pt 90wt% + Rh 10wt%
Purity: 99.95% minimum
Dimensions: 3.00” diameter by 0.250” thick ±0.010”
A Certificate of Compliance for each target is required.
