Statement of Work
NASA is requesting Instrumentation to integrate several NASA-owned spectrometer into a robotic optical pointing mechanism that they presently use to provide instruments for the NASA Pandora Program.
Specific Elements of this procurement include:
1) Modifying and machining enclosures and other support accessories including:
a. Optical Alignment fixture.
b. Modification of the cold plate for spectrometer and control electronics.
c. Modification and fabrication of an instrument support frame.
2) Integration of the motorized leveling system with the following requirements:
a. Use of motorized leveling system.
b. 0.01-degree resolution.
c. 360-degree rotation for Azimuth and Zenith.
3) Interfacing the spectrometers and optical pointing systems.
a. Develop User Interface requirements.
b. Develop User hardware and software interfaces.
c. Command and control interfaces for the two spectrometers, including command and control of the polarization stages and shutters.
d. Integrate a temperature control element.
e. Develop and integrate a data visualization software solution.
f. Impliment a command/control interface to the spectrometers and the optical pointing mechanism.
g. Utilize only solid-state elements.
4) Completion of development, testing to be done prior to 9/31/2024.
