About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the purchase of an AB CompactLogix programmable logic controller (PLC) system to be installed at MSFC Building 4205 Lab 104.

The procurement requires an AB CompactLogix 5069-L330ER or better with a finger-safe power solution (120VAC or 24VDC) for operation in a climate-controlled, non-hazardous lab environment. The system must include 32 thermocouple inputs (R, S, K, C types), 24 analog inputs, and 16 discrete inputs. Output capabilities must comprise 32 simple discrete outputs, 32 relay outputs, 4 isolated relay outputs (ideally rated 0.5-1+ Amp), and 4 analog outputs. All input/output cards require screw terminals. Communication components include 6 serial ports (RS-232 and Modbus RS-485), dual Ethernet ports (preferred), and an AENTR Remote IO Adapter Rack. The deliverables also include an AB 15" PanelView Plus 7 touchscreen with mounting hardware, FactoryTalk Studio ME software for the PanelView, perpetual licensing, and Allen-Bradley technical support (8x5 remote phone support for one year). An optional PC historian/data recording software solution is requested with the capability to record data at 10 Hz for short durations, though 10 Hz is not a mandatory requirement. The scope explicitly limits work to equipment purchase only, with no engineering or development services required. The period of performance covers purchase activities only.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

Purchase of an AB CompactLogix rack.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The PLC shall have the following:

• AB CompactLogix 5069-L330ER or better preferred, safety PLC not required

• Power solution shall be finger safe, 120VAC or 24VDC

• Operate in a wall panel, in a climate-controlled, non-hazardous lab

• Only PLC and development software to be provided, licensing must be perpetual o No engineering or development work needed. Only the purchase

• Screw terminals for all cards, if applicable

• Inputs:

o 32 Thermocouples, R, S, K, C such as AB 5069-IY4 with o 24 Analog Inputs such as AB 5069-IF8 o 16 Discrete Inputs such as 5069-IB16F

• Outputs o 32 simple Discrete Output such as 5069-OB16 o 32 relay outputs such as 5069-OW16 o 4 isolated relay outputs such as 5069-OW4I, ideally rated for 0.5-1+Amp o 4 Analog Outputs such as 5069-OF8

• Communication o 6 Serial ports RS-232, Modbus RS-485 such as 5069-SERIAL o Ethernet, dual preferred.

o AENTR Remote IO Adapter Rack for remote card control

• AB 15” PanelView Plus 7 with mounting hardware

• FactoryTalk Studio ME for the PanelView. We have the PLC software already.

• Allen-Bradly technical 8x5 remote phone support for 1 year.

• Optional: PC Historian/Data Recording software solution for above IO. Previous standard is to record at will at 10 Hz for only a few hours at once. 10 Hz not a requirement.
