About this file
This is a Scope of Work (SOW) for a materials-only procurement of heavy-duty pallet rack components to support warehousing operations at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The procurement specifies delivery of new, unused rack materials with no installation, assembly, anchoring services, or on-site labor authorized under this contract.
The Bill of Materials includes: 15 starter frames, 90 add-on frames (105 total bays), 210 additional 96-inch step beams, 630 galvanized wire decking units (46 inches × 48 inches), 60 steel upright column guards, and 960 concrete anchor bolts with nuts and washers. All frames are 96 inches wide × 48 inches deep × 144 inches high, configured to support three shelf levels per bay to optimize storage capacity. All pallet rack components must be finished in NASA Blue using a durable industrial finish suitable for high-usage storage environments. Delivery must occur between September 30, 2026, and October 15, 2026, to Stennis Space Center, Mississippi, Building 2204 (RA30), with 48-hour advance delivery notice required. The contractor shall provide packing lists, bills of lading, and product data sheets with shipment, along with manufacturer warranties and OEM installation recommendations. Acceptance criteria require all items and quantities to match the purchase order and BOM, with materials new and undamaged in manufacturer packaging. Any substitutions or quantity changes to the BOM require prior written approval from SSC Logistics (RA30). The contract explicitly excludes QA/commissioning, torque testing, inspections, training, safety briefings, and all on-site labor.

Stennis Space Center, MS | Logistics Management – Warehousing
1. Purpose This Statement of Work (SOW) defines a materials‑only purchase of heavy‑duty pallet rack components to support SSC warehousing. No installation, assembly, anchoring services, or other on‑site labor are included under this procurement.
2. Background Planning identifies a configuration of 15 starter frames and 90 add‑on frames (total 105 bays) at 96″ width × 48″ depth, with three shelf levels per bay to optimize storage capacity.
3. Scope (Materials Only) The Contractor shall furnish and deliver new, unused rack materials listed in the Bill of Materials (BOM) to SSC. Delivery shall include packing lists and product data sheets. No services are authorized under this SOW.
4. Bill of Materials (BOM) Quantities reflect three levels across 105 bays (15 starters + 90 add‑ons). No brand references or external links are included.
Item Description Quantity
Starter Frames Heavy‑duty pallet rack starter frames, 96″ width × 48″ depth × 144″ height;
materials only.
Add‑On Frames Heavy‑duty pallet rack add‑on frames, 96″ width × 48″ depth × 144″ height;
materials only.
90 (fixed)
Additional Beams (96″) Step beams, 96″ length; two beams form one shelf level;
used to add third level across all bays.
210 beams (105 shelf‑level pairs)

10. Color Specification All pallet rack components furnished under this procurement shall be finished in NASA Blue. This color requirement is an intentional inventory‑management control measure used by the Agency to support visual manufacturing principles. Standardizing rack color to NASA Blue ensures clear differentiation between inventory categories, delineates ownership, and improves visual tracking of equipment attributes across the warehouse environment. The Contractor shall ensure that all frames, beams, upright guards, and associated metal components are uniformly coated in NASA Blue using a durable industrial finish suitable for high‑usage storage environments.
11. Delivery Timeline Due to space constraints, delivery must occur no earlier than 30 September 2026 and no later than October 15 2026 to continue supporting Stennis issue and inventory requirements.
