About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details requirements for a pump heat exchanger package for NASA's Glenn Research Center. The package must remove 130 kW with 50 GPM of process fluid for a vacuum furnace, with specific characteristics including a 30% oversizing from a previous unit, a 60-gallon nominal flow-through tank, and an independent temperature control unit. The heat exchanger package shall include a frame, pumps, cooling systems, electrical components, controller, information manual, and drawings, and will be painted and run-tested prior to shipment.
The delivery schedule requires drawings to be provided 8-10 weeks after order placement, with equipment delivery occurring 20-24 weeks after drawing approval. The procurement is a sole-source contract with MultiStack Bac, located in Willoughby, Ohio, under NASA/NSSC's acquisition using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 procedures. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334519, and interested organizations may submit capabilities and qualifications by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 3/24/2025, with the government retaining discretion on competitive basis determination.

Statement of Work
A pump heat exchanger package is to be procured to remove 130 kW with 50 GPM of process fluid to the hot plates.
Characteristics of the heat exchanger package include:
Applicable for a vacuum furnace with hot plates.
Sizing is based on the data provided for the current system with a maximum of 102 kW cooling rating with a requested 30% oversizing from the previous unit. A pump heat exchanger package to remove 130 kW with 50 GPM of process fluid to the hot plates.
Equipment sized to reflect the 60 gallon nominal flow through tank, and a separate output for out of spec temperature. - - Temperature Control Unit provides an independent temperature controlled zone with its own controls, pump, and cooling modes. Independent control means maximum productivity and adaptability for our process. Precise control of process temperature and the designed isolation of the electrical and mechanical components.
Closed-loop cooling design to separate cooling water source from process machinery.
The heat exchanger package shall consist of a frame, pumps, cooling, electrical, controller, information manual and drawings, and be painted.
The systems shall be run tested prior to shipment.
Delivery schedule: the drawings shall be provided 8-10 weeks after the order is placed and the equipment shall be delivered in 20-24 weeks after drawing approval.
