There is no facility to off load units. There is a specific location where the units are off-loaded and staged.
2. Could you tell me if the NASA facility would be able to offload the Connex containers off flatbed trucks. Or would we need to provide drop load type trucks for this job?
The vendor will need to provide drop load type trucks for this job.
3. Will the government be at liberty to advise if the end user will have a way to offload the containers, or will the delivering party have to offload themselves?

4. The area in the RFQ where it says "One Trip" conex boxes: It's a bit confusing. Are these boxes for one use only? Also are these boxes for rent or purchase.
These boxes are for one use only and are to be purchased.
5. Since this award is based off of LPTA, can you please clarify if you're looking for new or used containers? Both have different price points.
They can be either new or used but need to be wind and airtight, or watertight. This is due to our climate.
6. The SOW listed containers needed as Wind and airtight (should be water tight) but also sea worthy. Wind and Water tight designation is very different then Sea Worthy. Wind and Water tight are the containers that have been used the most and would not be allowed for any more shipping. Sea Worthy will still be allowed on shipping lines.
Containers do not need to be seaworthy. They will not be shipped by sea. They need to be wind and airtight or watertight.
7. We use a tilt bed trailer for delivery, and we need a 120-straight clearance to perform the delivery. Please, check with the customer.
We do have the 120-straight clearance for delivery.
8. Regarding the containers, will you be needing containers to be stacked or blocked and braced?
No stacking, blocked and bracing is needed.
9. Can you provide a Google Map view, image, or drawing of how you'd like containers to be placed. Do you have any specific instructions regarding placement?
We (NASA) will have a POC directing where the container placement will be at the time of delivery.
10. For clarification purposes, will this solicitation require a crane and crane operator?
No crane or crane operator is needed.
11. Will our firm be responsible for delivery and placement of Connex Containers? Or are you only in seek of delivery of Connex containers and NASA AFRC will be responsible for how containers are placed and will move them accordingly following delivery?
Vendor Is responsible for delivery and placement. We (NASA) will have a POC directing where the container placement will be at the time of delivery.
12. I'm reviewing your bid requirements and am confused. I was hoping you can help me.
You say under "requirements", that you require new one trip containers, but under "Background" you request "We are looking for new or used containers that are refurbished, wind and airtight containers that are certified for shipments." Do you require new one trip containers, or do you require used wind and watertight containers?
We are looking for new or used containers that are refurbished, wind and airtight containers that are certified for shipments.
