Is there a site visit scheduled? No What cleaning spec is being utilized here? Internal What is the minimum size of a doorway /ingress the tanks must pass through to get to the final location? 10ft wide x 10 ft tall roll up door Are common utility connections for all 3 tanks desired or do you want to have to water/air/drain to each tank? Each tank Is a ground drain available? No How are parts transferred from tank to tank? Heavy items an overhead crane, baskets when personnel are physically doing the transfer Are baskets needed? Yes Are piezo electric transducers acceptable? No. They can have similar performance and are much more cost effective.
Is there a reason the government wants magnetostrictive ? Primarily the maintenance-free reliability and the history of use at another NASA facility.
What is the maximum weight load expected? Up to 500 lbs in a basket, heavier items will be supported by an overhead crane.
What is the maximum part size? Requested the working dimensions of tanks are Left to Right: 50”, Front to Back: 36”, Depth: 28” How will the ventilation duct be connected at the end user facility? Desire ventilation duct located to the rear of the cleaning chamber, will be connect by others to a wall mounted exhaust fan.
Is a powered exhaust system required? No.
Is there a limit to the overall size of the system? Yes, each tank’s overall maximum dimensions are listed in SOW.
How far will the control enclosure be from the tanks? Closest tank approx.. 6ft and farthest tank approx.
30 ft away. Can they all be attached to the same frame? No.
