Text version
• The timeline between research taking place (July-Nov 2023) and the exhibition opening (Thanksgiving 2023) is very tight. From our experience, it may be quite difficult to action any findings so close to the opening. What decisions are you hoping the findings will inform - ie marketing, look and feel, associated events? How much is already confirmed given how close the exhibition is to opening?
The exhibition will be primarily digital content on a large 32’x6’ screen. Updates will be made on a quarterly (or more regular) basis. Decisions will focus on messaging and connecting with the audience at an appropriate level – how to frame storytelling, choice of data visualizations vs spatial mapping, narrator pace and language, etc.
• What stage is the virtual experience at, has it been developed already or still in process?
The virtual presence will build on current NASA content but in very early planning stages. The development will be iterative through end of 2024
• Option 1 requests formative testing between March 2024 - December 2025 - while the exhibition is open. What is NASA/NMHN looking to get out of this? What are you hoping to test?
Audience understanding and future storytelling opportunities
• How long is the exhibition planning on running for?
5 years
