A Mobile Shelter Structure (MSS) for NASA’s Moon Landing Test Project
➢ The Human Landing System (HLS) Moon Landing Test (MLT) Project will be testing new Boilerplate Lunar Landers beginning late 2025.
➢ Shelter is mobile and can be moved 200 ft in the plane of the Gantry concrete using a 10,000 lb. Telehandler and a Truck and anchored in 1 hr.
➢ Protect the stationary Boilerplate Lunar Lander (BLL) and its installed instruments from rain/snow/ice/wind/debris in between tests by moving over the BLL from the west.
➢ MSS will have 1 large bay door on east end & 1 personnel door.
➢ Shelter can be anchored to the Gantry concrete.
➢ Mobile Shelter will be usable with minimal maintenance for 6 yr operational use period.
➢ Proposed MSS design shall not require modifications to the Gantry facility
