Modification to existing BAS Control
Panels
Modifications to the existing BAS Control
Panels will be required for new control points being added. Can you please submit an RFI requesting the as‐built drawings for
BAS system associated with AHU‐18, AHU‐21, and AHU‐22.
The latest vesion of Drawing 82K05179 Kennedy
Space Center Space Station Processing Facility, HVAC Controls System will be uploaded securely in FedBizOpps for download.
Precision Mechanical would like to request an additional site visit for the
Replace AHU’s at SSPF
No additional site visit will be provided at this time. If there are some specific questions that can be answered without a site visit the Government will try an address them if time allows.
Was any information ever issued or possible to issue the model number and quantity required for Additive #1: existing
HEPA filters required in case changed out before job completion

Is there any chance that the Replace AHU’s at the SSPF technical proposal that’s due on Monday, 11/20 can be postponed until after Thanksgiving?
The Government is extending the proposal due date to November 27, 2017 2PM EST.
1. Reference: Specification 79K39209, page 199, Para. 3.1 Forth Paragraph:
Submit Installation Drawings for pipes, valves and specialties. Drawings shall include the manufacturer's design and construction calculations, forces required to obtain rated axial, lateral, or angular movements, installation criteria, anchor and guide requirements for equipment, and equipment room layout and design.
Drawings shall specifically advise on procedures to be followed and provisions required to protect expansion joints during specified hydrostatic testing operations.
Will the submittal of Shop drawings and manufacture cut sheets on pipe, valves and specialties satisfy the above requirement as a build to print? Or, is the contractor to hire a registered engineer to fabricate sealed and stamped drawing to satisfy the above requirement?
The submission of a shop drawing is sufficent, reference example document uploaded securely in
FedBizOpps for download.
2. Reference: Specification 79K39209, page 200, Para. 3.1 6th & 7th
Paragraphs. Field welded joints shall conform to the requirements of the AWS
WHB-2.9, ASME B31.3, and ASME
BPVC SEC IX.
Preheat and post heat treatment of welds shall be done in accordance with ASME
BPVC SEC IX and ASME B31.3.
Does the chilled water piping fall under
Category D of ASME B31.3? If so, is visual inspection for the welds the only requirement?
The chilled water system under this contract does fall under Category D of ASME B31.3, therefore, only visual inspection are requires of the welds
