About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for NASA's Commercial Satellite Data Acquisition (CSDA) On-Ramp 2 Request for Proposal (RFP). The document details vendor inquiries and NASA's corresponding responses regarding contract updates and technical requirements. Key details include that this is a multi-contract award for new contracts, not follow-on contracts, targeting satellite operators with at least one satellite in Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Geosynchronous Orbit (GEO), Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO), or Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) that have demonstrated 9 months of continuous observation capability after June 1, 2016. Current CSDA contract holders seeking to add new products/capabilities must submit an updated Price List (Attachment D) and an Algorithm Theoretical Based Document (ATBD) for each new product, using a template provided in Amendment 2.

Is the CSDA on-ramp RFP only for small satellite operators? Or is it also for NASA to acquire layered analytics and fused data? As a small company, we need to ensure we are very judicious with our time, and do not want to spend valuable time and resources submitting a proposal for an RFP that is not intended for our services
The RFP requirements state the vendor needs to have at least 1 satellite in LEO, GEO, HEO, or
MEO orbit and have demonstrated 9 months of continual observation capability after June 1, 2016
