About this file
This document contains detailed technical specifications for sixty (60,000) GVW cab and chassis dump trucks to be used by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) for snow plowing and dump truck duties. The specifications cover the vehicle frame and structure, cab, engine, transmission, axles, suspension, brakes, electrical system, hydraulic system, and dump body. The document also lists numerous options for additional features such as an Allison transmission, front and rear disc brakes, and additional lighting and sander equipment. The state is seeking competitive pricing for sixteen (16) of these trucks, which must be new equipment only.
The pricing terms, bid requirements, and contract details are not specified in this document, but are outlined in a separate state and local contract opportunity document. That document indicates the state is seeking pricing for the sixteen (60K GVW) dump trucks, with no information provided about any incumbent vendors, funding sources, or other salient commercial details.
