Statement of Work

B703 Mishap – Surge Suppression Analysis NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center 2825 E Ave P, Palmdale, CA 93550 8/30/17 Prepared by

1. PURPOSE

The purpose of this work is to analyze the existing B703 fire suppression systems with regard to water surge effects.

Specifically:

· Determine whether existing fire suppression systems are susceptible to damage due to water surges during system flooding. Indicate, with data, magnitude of pressure transient during system flooding.

· Determine whether existing pipe occlusions contributed to surge suppression damage, and to what degree. Also, consider the effect of reduced wall thickness, resulting from corrosion.

· Gather data during on-site survey. NASA will provide as-built documentation.

Provide detailed pricing, including detailed subcontractor pricing for work scope.

3.1 Period of Performance

The period of performance for this task order is 75 days from award date

3.2 Scope

Provide all labor, materials, and equipment as needed to satisfy the scope of work as outlined in Purpose.

A final report, to consist of the analysis and findings as described in Purpose.
