About this file
This is a Subcontractor Letter of Intent form issued by Hillsborough County, Florida, as part of the county's Small Business Encouragement Program. The form is designed to document agreements between prime bidders/proposers and registered Small Business Enterprise (SBE) subcontractors for county bid and proposal submissions. The letter of intent must be completed and signed by authorized representatives from both the prime contractor and the SBE firm and must be submitted to the county for any SBE listed on a bid or proposal. The form requires identification of the scope of work and work item numbers to be performed by the registered SBE firm, along with estimated dollar amounts where applicable, except in cases of Work Order/Term Contracts, Professional Services, or CCNA Contracts, where dollar amounts should be omitted to avoid impact on bonus point consideration.
The Hillsborough County Small Business Encouragement Program awards bonus points for SBE utilization when at least one listed SBE subcontractor is registered in accordance with the county's SBE Program policies and procedures. The form applies to the Miscellaneous Subsurface Investigation & Testing contract opportunity, valued at $6,000,000.00, which encompasses geotechnical services, construction materials testing, roofing and waterproofing assessments, materials engineering, and asbestos-related services. The contracting opportunity includes furnishing of accredited and qualified personnel and equipment, written reports, evaluations, and recommendations related to the work performed.
