About this file

The document is a Minimum Insurance Coverage Requirements document from the Richardson Independent School District (RISD), detailing the insurance specifications for vendors contracting with the school district. The requirements outline comprehensive insurance coverage mandates for vendors, including Comprehensive General Liability Insurance with multiple coverage limits ranging from $5,000 to $1,000,000, Automobile Liability Insurance with a $1,000,000 combined single limit, and Workers Compensation Insurance at statutory limits.

The insurance requirements specify that vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage for the entire contract duration, with the school district named as an additional insured. Vendors must either require their sub-contractors to maintain similar insurance coverage or insure sub-contractor activities under their own policies. The document also mandates that vendors comply with Texas Labor Code requirements, provide proper reporting of classification codes and payroll amounts, and post notices at project sites informing workers about insurance coverage verification. Vendors must file new certificates of coverage if their current insurance expires during the project and ensure continuous coverage throughout the contract period.
