About this file

This document is a detailed specification sheet from Halifax Medical Center for an Electrophysiology (EP) Cath Lab equipment procurement. The specifications outline comprehensive requirements for a new medical imaging system, including a ceiling-mounted C-arm with advanced technological features such as dose reduction capabilities, flexible positioning (±135 degrees rotation), advanced image processing, and multiple connectivity options. The bid encompasses not only the primary EP Cath Lab system but also optional equipment including an ultrasound system with peripheral and access probes and an intra-vascular ultrasound (IVUS) system.

The procurement includes extensive requirements for documentation, training, warranty, and post-warranty service. The vendor must provide two operator manuals, two service manuals, diagnostic software, and commit to no-cost software and manual updates throughout the equipment's usable life. Training requirements include in-house in-service for staff and physicians, comprehensive service training for two technicians, and a minimum one-year warranty covering parts, labor, and travel. The bid also requires the vendor to provide service contract options, references from local facilities, and detailed information about service coverage, response times, and travel charges. The equipment will undergo a rigorous incoming inspection by the Biomedical Equipment Department to ensure operational performance and safety before acceptance.
