About this file
This is an Insurance Requirements document for Collier County, Florida, establishing mandatory coverage for a consulting services contract involving Emergency Management Exercise Development and Evaluation for the County's Emergency Operations Center. The consulting services contract requires the contractor to evaluate the County's Audio/Visual and technology systems, design and conduct two full-scale hurricane response exercises, and identify technology gaps and process inefficiencies. While specific response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder meetings, award dates, and contract term information are not detailed in this insurance requirements document, the contractor must maintain all specified insurance coverage throughout the duration of the agreement and work performance period, with evidence of insurability required within five days of notification of recommended award.
The contractor must obtain Worker's Compensation coverage under Florida Statutes Chapter 440, Employer's Liability coverage of $500,000 per occurrence, Commercial General Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate with Collier County named as additional insured, and Professional Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per claim and aggregate. All subcontractors must comply with identical insurance requirements, and the contractor must provide certificates of insurance naming Collier County Board of County Commissioners at 3295 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112 with thirty days cancellation notice required. The insurance requirements do not specify performance or payment bonds for this contract, indicating the contract value likely does not exceed $200,000. Collier County will procure and maintain Builders Risk Insurance if necessary, with costs billed to the project rather than included in the contractor's proposal.
