About this file

This document outlines a federal contract opportunity for Giant Sequoia Emergency Response (GSER) Stewardship Integrated Resource Service Contract (IRSC) work. The U.S. Forest Service is seeking contractors to perform urgent fuels management treatments in six previously unburned or moderately burned Giant Sequoia groves located across the Sequoia and Sierra National Forests in California. Work includes hand and mechanical cutting, piling, mastication, and removal of surface and ladder fuels to reduce wildfire risk. Mandatory product removal of saw timber and cull logs is required in three specified groves. The period of performance is through December 2023. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management and the contract will be a firm-fixed price commercial services agreement awarded using best value procedures. The primary point of contact is listed.
