About this file
This document is a Scope of Services specification from Fulton County Schools (FCS) seeking qualified mental health providers to deliver comprehensive mental health services to students in grades 6-12. The initiative is supported by the Georgia Department of Education's Student Mental/Behavioral Health Services Grant and aims to reduce non-academic barriers to learning. The contractor will be required to provide individual and group therapy sessions, crisis intervention, clinical assessments, treatment planning, preventative services, and trauma-informed training, with a minimum of six sessions per student. Services will be delivered both in-person and virtually through HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms during school hours, after school, and on weekends, targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention levels.
The mental health providers must possess a Georgia license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist), be well-versed in trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices, and have the capacity to serve students at no cost to the student or family. Providers must complete background checks, ensure secure data transmission, be compatible with FCS IT infrastructure, and adhere to HIPAA, FERPA, and Georgia privacy laws. The services are funded through the Georgia Department of Education grant, with providers expected to supplement existing resources, track outcomes such as attendance and symptom reduction, and provide monthly case tracking and reporting. Successful providers will demonstrate experience in school-based mental health services, the ability to serve multiple schools and districts, and establish feedback mechanisms for students, families, and school staff.
