About this file

This document contains a fire plan and related federal contract opportunity for fuels management and suppression repair services. The fire plan outlines responsibilities for fire prevention and suppression between the contractor and Forest Service, including designating representatives and contact information for both parties. It also lists the contractor's firefighting personnel and equipment available for suppression. The federal contract opportunity is seeking a contractor to perform forest health and fuels reduction treatments on 413 acres within the Dixie Fire perimeter in California. Services will include knocking down berms, water barring, fuel mitigation, chipping, skidding, decking, piling, mechanical pile removal and road maintenance. Optional timber may also be removed subject to agreement. The contractor will have until October 31, 2023 to complete all work. The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed price commercial services contract using best value source selection. Interested contractors must be registered in SAM to be eligible for award.
