About this file

This is Appendix B outlining Condemned Consumable Parts Processing and Disposal DEMIL Support Contractor Requirements for a federal maintenance and disposition operation.

The Contractor must collect condemned consumable parts (XB3, SMS Managed Consumable Parts identified by National Stock Number) weekly from three designated Maintenance Areas (AMXG, CMXG, EMXG) across multiple building locations and transport verified materials to a Staging Area (Building 2316) for processing and eventual disposal through DLA Disposition Services (DLADS). Before collection, the Contractor must verify each part bears a properly completed DD Form 1577 tag containing Part Number/NSN/Local Stock Number, DEMIL Code, and correct quantity, and confirm visible red marking on all material. Large items too bulky for staging (including panels) remain onsite until scheduled for direct transport to DLADS via the Disposition Dock Appointment Scheduler. The Contractor is responsible for load securement during all transportation phases in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. Staging Area management requires segregating materials by DEMIL code compatibility (Code A separate; Codes B and Q combinable; Codes C, D, and F combinable) and maintaining clean, organized conditions using bins/triwalls provided by OBWC. For DEMIL Code P material, the Contractor must confirm Certificate of Declassification attachment before collection; for DEMIL Code F, all special DEMIL instructions and Demilitarization Certificate completion must be verified beforehand. The Contractor completes turn-in documentation via Electronic Turn-In Document (ETID) system, selecting "Usable" type, completing all required fields, entering weapon system information when known, and checking daily for DD Form 1348-1A approval. Upon approval, the Contractor schedules turn-in through DAS and transports materials with three copies of the completed DD Form 1348-1A, maintaining one signed copy for file plan record-keeping per USAF requirements. The Government provides designated Maintenance Area information, Maintenance POC contact details, ensures proper material preparation and tagging by maintenance personnel, and coordinates forklift support when required.
