GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Title: Innova® S44i, refrigerated, stackable shaker incubators

2. Background Information: The purpose of this request is to procure a Double-Stacked Eppendorf Innova S44i Refrigerated Incubator Shaker complex. Double-stacked incubator shakers will be used to grow microbial cultures at the range of temperatures above and below ambient to perform molecular genetics study of genome integrity.

This is a refrigerated three-stack incubator which can take 36x500 ml and 15x2000 ml Erlenmeyer flasks per incubator (108 and 45 total, respectively). Innova S44i can operate between 4C and 80C and 20-400rpm. Samples have to be incubated between 14 and 42C at 30-300rpm.

· shaking speed 25 to 400 rpm,

· temperature control 2 to 80C,

· space saving grid door, and

· platform capacity for 15x2000ml flask and 8x2800ml flask.

We need to grow microbial liquid cultures in shaker incubators with the capabilities described in the next section:

Innova® S44i, refrigerated, stackable shaker incubators have the following unique capabilities

1. High-Capacity and Efficient Design

· Maximum Flask Capacity: It can accommodate up to 39x 1 L or 15x 2.5 L UltraYield flasks, offering up to 102% higher capacity than competing models.

· Triple-Stackable at High Speeds: Units can be stacked up to three high, and importantly, all three units can operate at high speeds (up to 400 rpm for 25 mm orbit).

· Compact Footprint: Despite increased capacity, it offers a smaller footprint than its predecessor (Innova 44).

· Slide-Up Door: A space-saving, iconic slide-up door provides easy, ergonomic access to samples without requiring extra aisle space.

2. Advanced Drive System (Eppendorf X-Drive)

· 5-Eccentric Counterbalanced Drive: The patented X-Drive uses five shafts, which provides stable, vibration-free shaking even with very heavy or unbalanced loads, such as high-volume flask cultures.

· Continuous Imbalance Monitoring: The drive automatically senses imbalances and adjusts speed to ensure safety and protect cultures.

3. Advanced Control and Connectivity

· VisioNize Touch Interface: A modern, intuitive touchscreen allows for easy setup of multi-step or cyclic programs, such as for temperature or speed ramps.

· Digital Integration: The device features VisioNize Lab Suite for remote monitoring, data export via USB, and network integration via Ethernet.

· User Management: The interface allows for user management, limiting access to settings and enhancing compliance.

4. Specialized Environmental Controls

· Optional Photosynthetic LED Light Bank: The unit can be fitted with a programmable photosynthetic LED light bank to provide uniform light across the entire platform, designed for algae and plant cell growth.

· Extensive Temperature Range: The refrigerated model operates between the 10∘C below ambient to 80∘C

· Optimized Growth Conditions: Offers high precision, with speed accuracy of ±0.5plus or minus rpm and temperature uniformity of ±0.25∘C

5. Advanced Usability

· Slide-Out Platform: The platform can be easily pulled out for one-handed, convenient access to samples located at the back of the shaker.

· Optional Sticky Pad Platform: Allows for the use of adhesive mats instead of traditional clamps, allowing for easy, tool-free placement of different vessel sizes.

Period of Performance: This is a one-time supply acquisition with the duration of the maintenance agreement as specified in the resulting contract or purchase order.

Delivery Location:
