This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number is 75N98026Q00805. This solicitation is issued as a competitive combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services. The Government intends to award a contract or purchase order resulting from this solicitation using full and open competition.

This acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 12.603, Streamlined Solicitation for Commercial Products or Commercial Services, and is not expected to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of the Director, Office of Acquisitions, seeks to award a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order to the responsible offeror whose proposal represents the best value to the Government.

NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE

The intended procurement is classified under NAICS code 334516 with a Size Standard of 1000.

REGULATORY AUTHORITY

• This requirement is unrestricted.

DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) utilizes microfluidic based cell sorters to map the circuitry and define theneuronal subtypes within interconnected brain regions. The goal is to reveal the fundamental organization and phlogenectically conserved brain structures to help our understanding of their functional roles in neuropsyciatric conditions. The cell sorter is critical to preparing both rodent and nunhuman primate tissue for mRNA sequencing at the single cell level to study the aspects of cellular diversity in gene expression.

The NIMH requires One (1) Microfluidic Based Cell Sorter System that meets the following salient characteristics:

a. Fully compatible with 100 μm, and 130 μm disposable microfluidics sorting chips (cartridges)

b. Comprehensive fluidics control for set-up, acquisition, sort, and analysis

c. Support sorting into tubes (minimum 2-way) and 96- and 384-well plates

d. Generates FCS 3.0 and FCS 3.1 files that can also be exported to third party analysis tools

e. Must have minimum of 3 collinear excitation lasers (488nm, 561nm, and 638nm)

f. Must provide at least six fluorescence detection channels and two scatter detection channels

g. Must allow user adjustment of sorting purity and speed parameters.

h. Ability to create experiments using templates

i. Must have an integrated flow cell-nozzle assembly
