About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Azenta Life Sciences Limfinity Annual License and Support Renewal contract with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) Undiagnosed Diseases Program (UDP). The contract covers a 12-month base year beginning June 1, 2026, and will be performed at the NIH NHGRI Undiagnosed Diseases Program in Bethesda, MD. The UDP is a trans-NIH clinical research initiative focused on diagnosing medically puzzling cases and discovering new diseases to advance understanding of human physiology and genetics.
The Contractor is responsible for providing Premium Support Services for the UDPics patient data system, a Limfinity-based enterprise-grade web platform that combines bioinformatics processes, project management, task management, asset management, user role configurability, audit functionality, and security features. Specific contractor deliverables include: designating a liaison to provide support and minor to moderate scripting refinement; providing backend access API for Limfinity; providing maintenance and support for the Limfinity server; delivering version updates; providing an on-premises Limfinity license; and providing concurrent user licenses. Acceptance occurs upon delivery. No government-furnished property or information is required, and security provisions are not applicable to this contract.

Statement of Work (SOW)
1. Project Title :
Azenta Life Sciences Limfinity Annual License and Support Renewal
2. Introduction and Background The National Institutes of Health (NIH) mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) mission has expanded to encompass a broad range of studies aimed at understanding the structure and function of the human genome and its role in health and disease. The National Institutes of Health Undiagnosed Disease Program (UDP) is a trans-National Institute of Health (NIH) initiative that focuses on the most puzzling medical cases referred to the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. Many medical specialties from other NIH research centers and institutes contribute the expertise needed to conduct the program, including endocrinology, immunology, oncology, dermatology, dentistry, cardiology and genetics, among the dozens of participating senior attending physicians. A longstanding medical condition that eludes diagnosis by a referring physician can be considered undiagnosed and may be of interest to this clinical research program. The goals of the UDP include finding accurate diagnoses and discovering new diseases that provide insight into human physiology and genetics. The UDP was established to evaluate participants who have undiagnosed medical conditions.
3. Statement of Need and Objectives The UDP program makes use of a diverse set of diagnostic and research techniques both to attempt to find a diagnosis and to generate research projects to advance medical knowledge.
The Contractor has developed the enterprise-grade Limfinity web platform called UDPics that encompasses project, task, and asset management; user role configurability; user-tailored report; extensive audit functionality and information security that is required by the UDP laboratory. This system has been designed to be the meeting place of laboratory software tools, laboratory hardware, and staff users, allowing previously impossible levels of secure data access, communication, and process efficiency. A collaboration portal of the UDPics system has been designed for outside collaborators to add necessary experimental reports into the system for NIH UDP employees to access and incorporate into the experimental workflow of UDP patients to elucidate the cause of disease.
4. Product Specifications/Features/Salient Characteristics UDPics is a patient data system for NHGRI-Undiagnosed Diseases Program and requires constant upgrades, hosting and monitoring of the system. The Contractor has produced the Limfinity software platform that is designed for the simplification and greater efficiency of laboratory sample, data, and process management. They have currently designed a specific Limfinity platform for the NIH UDP called UDPics. This system has created a method of combining all bioinformatics processes that are used in the Undiagnosed Diseases Program for laboratory and clinical personnel to work collaboratively and efficiently. The UDP requires further refinement of
UDPics that requires Premium Support Service offered by the Contractor that includes a liaison designated for the UDP to perform refinement of UDPics and to rectify any problems that may appear in the system in a timely fashion.
5. General Contractor Responsibilities
