Q&A
RFQ 75N95022Q00023
Laundry Services of Laboratory Clothing
1. Could you provide the amount of items needing to be laundered in pounds? The items to be laundered are lab coats, since the amount will vary from week to week anywhere from 0.12lbs to 6lbs or more a week of lab coats.
2. Do you want us to rent the laundry bags to NIA IRP or just to clean your rental bags? Just clean, we have our own laundry bags
3. What is the dimension of your rental bags and what is the material it is made of? Laundry bags are about 28 x 45in, we typically use cotton, but we do have two polyester bags we need to use sometimes.
4. “It is preferred that clean laundry not to be returned in plastic”. Normally if lab coats are delivered on hanger (which is preferred) we cover them in plastic bags for protection purposes.
Do you prefer them on a hanger and no plastic bags at all? We do prefer coats to come back on hangers and if possible, not wrapped in plastic. However, if the plastic wrapping is necessary to keep product clean while transporting, coats arriving in plastic are acceptable.
5. Pick up on second Tuesday of every month and deliver the following Tuesday, correct? Any specific delivery time? For pick up, we prefer the 2nd week of the month, Tuesday preferable but if another day works better for already established routes, we can work with that provided it’s still on the 2nd week. Drop off of clean laundry can be any day of the following week though we do prefer it to be the same day as pick up. No specific time, our loading dock hours are from 8am to 5pm so anytime within those hours is acceptable.
6. Is the loading dock a street level or 3 to feet high? Loading dock is at least 3 feet high.
