About this file

This document is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 75H71026Q00134 for pharmaceutical waste disposal services issued by Tohatchi Health Center (THC) in Tohatchi, New Mexico. The amendment was effective July 27, 2026, with an updated quotation deadline of August 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM Mountain Daylight Time (extended from the original August 5, 2025 deadline). The contract period of performance runs from September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside procurement.

The amendment provides clarification through Questions and Answers addressing pharmaceutical waste management requirements. THC currently maintains 12 contractor-furnished 8-gallon hazardous waste containers with an estimated disposal volume of approximately 2 bins every 3 months (8 bins annually), all classified as hazardous waste. Pickup frequency is required four times per year, approximately every three months, with containers to be replaced within 5-10 business days of notification when full. Key contractor responsibilities include performing initial waste characterization and profiling, ensuring annual characterization of the facility's pharmaceutical formulary to identify hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams in accordance with regulatory requirements, and providing compliant pharmaceutical waste containers that support proper segregation including single-container approaches for most waste, separate containers for incompatible streams, and dedicated containers for trace chemotherapy waste managed as regulated medical waste. All containers must meet applicable Department of Transportation and regulatory requirements. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment and update their quotations accordingly by the stated deadline.
