About this file

This is an amendment to a solicitation that provides clarifications on two key questions regarding polysomnography sleep study services for the Quentin N Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota. Regarding equipment, the government clarified that there is no preferred manufacturer for in-lab sleep study equipment; however, any equipment must obtain FDA approval. On the critical matter of scheduling responsibilities, the amendment clarifies that contractor staff, not hospital staff, will be responsible for scheduling all in-lab and home sleep studies, resolving an ambiguity in the original Statement of Work regarding administrative functions to be performed by hospital-designated personnel.

Amendment 0002

Question 1: Do you have a preferred manufacturer of the hardware for the in lab sleep study equipment?

Answer: No, needs FDA approval.

Question 2: On page 5 of the Statement of Work under “Personnel and Scheduling” the RFP states “Hospital shall designate an individual employed by the Hospital to provide administrative functions to facilitate the Services provided by the contractor hereunder including, but not limited to: (a) schedule all bed reservations for all sleep studies.” The below answer to our question led us to believe we would be responsible for scheduling sleep study patients. Please clarify if the hospital staff or contractor staff schedules the patients for sleep studies.

Answer: Contractor staff will schedule all in lab and home sleep studies.
