75H70625Q00251 could you please clarify:

The depth of instruction expected for these modules (basic overview vs. advanced clinical management).

Answer #1: Wound Care Certification: Training course on skin and wound management with a minimum of 20 hours completed.

Diabetic Wound Care Certification: requires certification in wound care or active involvement with diabetic patients for at least 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time, and completion of a diabetic skin and wound management training course of at least 20 hours.

Question #2: Whether case studies, simulations, or scenario-based training are required.

Answer #2: The education and training provided will prepare the 20 clinical employees to sit for two certifications through NAWCO, requiring at least 20 hours of documented education and training.

Question #3: Are there any priority topics or competencies you would like emphasized in this portion of the training?

Answer #3: General wound care and diabetic wound care are the two priority topics.

Answer #4: If certification or evaluation will be tied to these components, or if they are intended as supplemental to the wound care curriculum?

The intention is to obtain certification in both general wound care and diabetic wound care through the National Alliance of Wound Care and

75H70625Q00251 certification.

The Certification Committee provides criteria that any acceptable course must meet.

The course must be relevant to the domains of the

Certification Exam.

The course can be delivered online or onsite.

A single course must meet the minimum hours of coursework noted in the Candidate Handbook to qualify for each specific credential.

Question #5: Do you require that the organization offering the course or all individuals delivering the course be recognized by anyone?

Answer #5: No.

Question #6: Should the Certificates being offered be from any specific Wound Care authority?

Answer #6: The "training and education of at least 20 hours" certificates do not have to be from any specific wound care authority. Still, they should prepare the individual for successful passing of the NAWCO wound care and diabetic wound care certification exams.

Question #7: Will this course serve as CE for professionals? If so, should it be recognized by a specific authority, such as the AMA or ADA?

Answer #7: The course does not need to serve as

CE for professionals. The training certificate must document the successful completion of at least 20 hours of wound care training, including diabetic wound care training. This is a requirement to sit for the NAWCO certification exams.

Question #8: Should the cost of the examination for each person be included in the quote?

Answer #8: No, the cost of the certifications should not be included in the funding allocated for the education portion. The NAWCO is the vendor for certification testing, and the vendor for education will likely be different, so the funding will need to remain separate.
