Continuation Sheet

1. The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to attach the as-built drawings and post the questions and answers.

2. The as-built drawings are attached.

3. The questions and answers are below.

4. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Q&As:

1. Are As-built drawings for the existing Pawnee Health Center available?

Answer: As-built drawings have been sent.

2. Is AutoCAD or Revit drawings of the existing Pawnee Health Center available?

Answer: AutoCAD drawings are attached with this amendment.

3. The new pharmacy drive-thru will be connected to existing flat roof system. Is the new pharmacy drive-thru matching the flat roof system? Or will the new drive-thru roof system be a gable pitch roof system with standing seam roof?

Answer: The new drive-thru will be a gable pitch roof system with standing seam roof to house the pneumatic tube system.

4. Is there a required width for the drive-thru? The concept drawing shows a narrow drive-thru width.

Answer: Drawings are concept only. Contractors are responsible to verify sizing of required width for drive-thru.

5. The noise of the pneumatic tube system may affect offices below, how could we adjust for the noise of the compressors?

Answer: Pneumatic tube system will be installed in the attic level of the facility. Ways to reduce noise of the pneumatic tube system can be disguised with subcontractors.

6. The compressors may need structural members above the ceiling. Has this been addressed or in question? Because the distance from the farthest drive-thru is +/- 250’-0” lineal foot?

Meaning, the compressors maybe large in size.

Answer: The vendors and contractors I spoke with said that their units could make the full run without boosters. They added that if boosters were needed they would be able to mount them within the attic. If the existing structures cannot be utilized I would assume they would need to add that to their proposal. I would assume the main I-Beam would easily support the booster compressor, but this is where their expertise is needed in the proposal.

7. Will the tube system have an audio and visual combination system? Or only an audio system?

Answer: The tube system will have a visual and audio system.

8. Does the tube system have to be a certain diameter? Depending on the number of prescriptions or they are bagged up.

Answer: Our conversations with Pharmacy lead me to believe that they want the industry standard 4x7 clam shell type carrier. I am sure that "4x7" is not an inch size, but an industry specification, due to the fact that several companies support it. That being said, the pneumatic tube shell will be determined by the pharmacy team.

9. Concerning the existing room, where the prescriptions will be placed in the new pneumatic tube system. Will the room receive new millwork, paint, flooring, and base?

Answer: The pneumatic tube system will sit on top of an existing counter. Patch/repair as needed.

10. Elevation of the countertop where the tubes will come out inside?

Answer: There are no elevations of the countertop. The height of the counter top is 36” from the finish floor to the top of the countertop. Ceiling height is 116” in that area. The dimension of the room are on the as-builts.

11. Celling height as well as the maximum deck height?

Answer: The ceiling height is 116”. The maximum deck height should be on the as-builts.

12. Elevation of the countertop where the tubes will come out inside?

Answer: There are no elevations of the countertop. The height of the counter top is 36” from the finish floor to the top of the countertop. Ceiling height is 116” in that area. The dimension of the room are on the as-builts.

13. Celling height as well as the maximum deck height?

Answer: The ceiling height is 116”. The maximum deck height should be on the as-builts.

14. What would IHS like the Elevation of Canopy to be ?

Answer: Not sure if you are asking for ceiling height and overall height of the canopy?

15. Would IHS consider extending the bid due date to give the subcontractors the maximum amount of time to get an accurate bid; we have not been supplied as built documents yet.

Answer: The offers due date remains as 08/18/2023.

16. Would you consider running the tube system on the roof to avoid disturbing as little hospital activities as possible?

Answer: Yes, on the flat roof area of the facility.

17. What testing will be required for this project?

Answer: Question not understood.
