Amendment A00001 dated 06/14/2022
1. RFP Would you be able to clarify if acute care will be offered at this site/ what type of procedures will be performed at the site? Thank you!! COR
Facility will house primary care, dental, diabetic, behavioral health, pharmacy and lab services. Exact type of procedures are still to be determined.
2. RFP
We are also bidding a local fire station the same day and time as the Site Visit for the above referenced project, and our estimators and I will be unable to attend. We can send one of our field supervisors if you recommend such, if the sign in sheet will be posted to SAM, and thus improve our visibility as a bidding general contractor.
CO
IHS can’t recommend who you should send to the site visit as it is up to your firm to decide who to send to the site visit.
A sign-in sheet will be posted to www.sam.gov.
3. RFP Is there access for contractors to the existing facility other than the planned site visit? CO Since the facility is on tribal land, contractors will not be allowed to access it after the site visit has been concluded.
4. RFP Will the existing facility be occupied during the renovations? COR The facility being renovated and expanded is currently vacant. There are other buildings on the property that are occupied.
5. RFP
Given the supply chain problems the entire industry is dealing with, and the fact that we in many cases cannot get delivery commitments until purchase orders are received and processed by vendors and suppliers.
Would the IHS consider delaying the Notice to Proceed until we have commitments from vendors and suppliers for key components, and can integrate same into our CPM schedules?
CO
IHS is aware of the overall industry conditions. Currently.
there are no plans to delay Notice to Proceed, but allocating time for long lead items within the schedule without sacrificing the critical path will be discussed. Once award has been made, IHS will discuss this with the awardee if necessary prior to issuance of the NTP.

Drawings In the drawings, doors 1060A/1060B require 6' 0" of length for the doors. The framing does not line up for 1060A as it asks for an AL-F1 frame which is only 3' 0" long, on the other hand 1060B requires an AL- F5 which matches the 6' 0" requirement. A change needs to be made to the 1060A framing so it can correlate correclty to the door sizing.
Preferably 1060A needs an AL-F5 frame.

The typical cedar t&g ceiling plain is 23'-6" above the first floor. The bottom of the plywood false beams is 23'-0" above the first floor.
The 12'-6" elevation is relative to the second floor And I am not sure what the 21'-5 1/8" dimension is unless it is the elevation of a P1 pendant light fixture. Does this ceiling slope? It appears to be flat per Section 1, sht. A 6.1.

Security Supplier is to be hired by the contractor. System must be fully compliant with HSPD – 12 / FIPS 201-3

Section 07 21
Section o7 21 00, Thermal Insulation, paragraph 1.01, A, indicates this section provides directive for exterior walls. Part 2, Products, does not describe a nail base product..Pargraph 3.03 describes a z stud approach to exterior walls which would be a poor substrate for weather barriers, air barriers, drainage mats, and to receive fasteners for lathe, scratch, and bond coats. We can add a layer of 1/2"plywood or OSB over the insulation and "Z" studs to create the section similar to that indicated on A2.1., and we will price the project this way is no other directive is provided.
It may be that a specification for a material similar to that in the link below was accidentally left out of the specifications: This approach is as close to what is drawn on Sheet A 2.1, which does not indicate "Z" Studs. https://www.gaf.com/en-us/roofing-products/residential-roofing-products/roof-and-wall-nail-base-insulation/exterior-wall-insulation-process/thermacalwall In accordance with the energy code analysis on sheet A 1.1, and R value of 7.5 is necessary out board of the sheathing to satisfy the energy code.
Thus, if expanded Polystyrene board is used, a thickness of 1 1/2" would be necessary
