The BioProfile Flex 2 instruments are used to analyze mammalian cell culture samples, measuring parameters such as pH, pCO2, pO2, sodium, potassium, calcium, glucose, lactate, and cell density/viability. The government seeks a single contractor to provide brand-compatible parts, sensor cards, and calibrator cartridges with specific delivery requirements. Deliveries will be made to Silver Spring, MD, and some components require refrigeration. The contract will be a firm-fixed price purchase order, with the contractor responsible for shipping and handling costs beyond the specified contract amount. The associated NAICS code is 334516 for Analytical Instruments.

Statement of Work (SOW)
CDER requires operational parts and consumables for our three currently owned Nova BioProfile Flex 2 instruments due to our continuing work on Process Analytical Technology and optimizing integration and automated sampling of analyzers to bioreactor systems. One Nova BioProfile Flex 2 has been integrated with the current microbioreactor system and allows for automated sampling and nutrient analysis for 48 vessels on a specified schedule, facilitating the collection of crucial data about cell culture processes that would otherwise take the entire work day to be collected manually. Our second Nova BioProfile Flex 2 is integrated to an automated sampling system to sample from our currently owned 5L glass bioreactors. The third BioProfile Flex2 is located at CDER’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Facility and will be used to analyze samples generated from the pilot biomanufacturing lab. The current workload for these instruments requires that they always perform accurately, which requires regular replacement of operational parts, sensor cards, and calibrator cartridges that are BRAND NAME and compatible with our NOVA BIOPROFILE FLEX 2 instruments to maintain a state of operation. Due to potential expiration of materials, a set schedule of delivery is required to maintain operational capabilities.
System Description:
The BioProfile Flex 2 instrument can measure pH, pCO2, pO2, sodium, potassium, calcium, ammonium, glucose, lactate, glutamate, glutamine, cell density/viability/diameter, and osmolality from a sample of less than 500 µl of mammalian cell culture.
Tasks/Deliverables:
To meet the purpose and objective of this requirement, a single Contractor shall provide the parts and components below that must be compatible with a NOVA BioProfile Flex 2 (SN T26817050C) and meet the established delivery timelines. Additionally, some of the components require refrigeration or are flammable, and must be shipped under appropriate conditions.
All deliveries will be made to the following address:
10903 New Hampshire Ave Bldg. 72 RM 2232 Silver Spring, MD 20903
The vendor will be responsible for any shipping and handling costs above the amount specified in the contract.
Service Records and Reports The Contractor shall, commensurate with the completion of each service call (inclusive of warranty service), provide the end-user of the equipment with a copy of a field service report/ticket identifying the equipment name, manufacturer, model number, and serial number of the equipment being serviced/repaired and detailing the reason for the service call, a detailed description of the work performed, the test instruments or other equipment used to affect the repair or otherwise perform the service, the name(s) and contact information of the technician who performed the repair/service, and for information purposes, the on-site hours expended and parts/components replaced. In addition, the Contractor shall provide a written report to the FDA Technical Representative and Contract Specialist, summarizing all maintenance and repair activities (including warranty work) each time service and/or repair is performed.
