About this file
This is a Question and Answers document for RFQ 75D301-26-Q-78863, addressing vendor inquiries regarding the CDC Division of Media Relations' media monitoring platform requirements. The Q&A clarifies key operational parameters: the CDC requires access for approximately 20 users (not the initially estimated 40), with unlimited saved searches for media monitoring. The platform must deliver daily news briefs beginning April 1, 2026 with no transition period, with article quantity determined by newsworthiness rather than a fixed requirement. Digital articles from websites are preferred over print, and summaries of articles rather than mere extracts are required. Briefings must be searchable and archived for later retrieval.
Additional clarifications address platform scope and functionality: podcast sources are not required at this time, initial draft approval before final distribution is not needed, and the vendor should propose their approach to social media influencer information rather than following a prescribed method. While the solicitation references Muck Rack specifically, any platform meeting all RFQ requirements will be considered. Monitoring sources are not limited to top daily newspapers but should include top 25 DMA publications, with flexibility to adjust sources based on topics. There is no specified budget constraint, sentiment analysis is not required, and any Non-Disclosure Agreement will be included in the awarded contract for review if applicable. Evaluation will be completed per the Statement of Work criteria rather than using separately defined weighting factors.
