QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES

Solicita on # 75D301‐24‐Q‐78239

1) Is there a diagram or blueprint of the building available to show sensor loca ons and applica ons?

Response: See the a ached floor plan. The two units that need immediate monitoring are connected to each other in the area described as CL‐Serum. Addi onal units that will need monitoring during scale up are located throughout the facility.

2) Please provide addi onal informa on on the sensor quan es and ranges required for each monitoring point for temperature, humidity, CO2 and liquid nitrogen.

Response: The two immediate needs are for a walk in freezer (‐30C) and walk in freezer ves bule (‐4C).

However, we would like the system to be scalable to include monitoring of upright freezers (‐30C to ‐

70C), incubators (25C – 56C), walk in refrigerator (4C), liquid nitrogen tank(s), upright refrigerator (4C), and room temperature & humidity.

3) We are reques ng more informa on regarding each sensors moun ng requirement. Are these to be wall mounted or equipment mounted?

Response: We have no requirements for this, with the caveat that the 2 units that need immediate monitoring are walk‐in units so the moun ng system cannot damage the integrity of the units.

4) Can you please provide a copy of the CDC OCSIO and IT requirements for network and data security as listed in sec on C of the RFP?

Response: The IT security requirements are listed on paegs 7 through 27 of the solicita on.

5) Is there a requirement for communica ons protocol for the monitoring system? I.e. BACnet, LON or Modbus.

Response: The IT security requirements are listed on paegs 7 through 27 of the solicita on.

6) The delivery date of 9/30/24 in the RFP for the monitoring system is unrealis c. Equipment lead mes, engineering, programming, installa on, commissioning on a project of this nature can take up to several months from date of award.

Response: The delivery date of the equipment has been changed from 9/30/2024 to 10/30/2024.

7) Can you please define what equipment type you would like monitored, as well as the monitoring parameters that you would like quoted in this solicita on?

Response: See response to ques on 2.

8) Is it a Cloud base or is it locally hosted system?

Response: CDC does not have a system as that is the purpose of this solicita on.

9) Is there a list of equipment to be monitored with loca ons?

Response: Immediate two needs are a walk in freezer (‐30C) and walk in freezer ves bule (‐4C) but we need the system to be scalable such that we can monitor addi onal pieces of equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, incubators, liquid nitrogen tank(s), and general laboratory rooms.

10) Is there a descrip on of the facility where the equipment is located?

Response: It is an ISO and CLIA cer fied public health laboratory located in Anchorage, Alaska.

11) What is the square footage of the facility where the equipment is being installed.

Response: There is an es mate of 9,000 square feet, based on the floor plan a ached. The two units that need immediate monitoring, as described in ques on #2, are connected to each other in the area described as CL‐Serum on the a ached floor plan.
