Question
NumberRFQ or Attachment Page Reference
(if applicable)QuestionCDC Response
1Site Selection: Can you provide more details on the criteria for selecting the 30 distinct sampling sites? How will collaboration with the CDC be facilitated for this selection process?sites selected in consultation with CDC based on niche modeling and previous sampling sites
2Sample Volume: The document mentions minimum sample numbers. Is there a possibility that more samples will be required, and how should this be accounted for in the budget and planning? No.
3Testing Methods: Are there specific preferences or requirements for the genetic analysis methods beyond MLST, such as other comparable methods? No. Some flexability here since CDC will receive any isolates and also do genomic analysis.
4Permits: What specific permits are required for sample collection and transportation?USDA permits are required to ship Bacterial isolates between states. A Form 2 is required by the Federal Select Agent Program to ship confirmed select agents. Additional permits may be required for soil/water collection on state property and US Forrest service or Bureau of Land Management property.
5Budget Flexibility: Is there flexibility in the budget to accommodate additional costs if more samples or additional testing are required? No. At this time additional funding is not an option. Additional samples or testing is not authorized with this contract.
