The number of return-to-work consultations can vary significantly, with 29 in 2022, 133 in 2023, and 10 so far in 2024. Lacta on Support Services

Ques ons & Answers

Q1. How many pumps are es mated to be needed in the base year and each op on year?

Approx. 40‐50

Q2. How many return‐to‐work consulta ons are es mated to be needed in the base year and each op on year?

It is challenging to es mate the annual number of return‐to‐work consulta ons as the numbers can vary each month. In 2022 there were 29 new members who would require return to work consola ons, but in

2023 that number in creased to 133 new par cipants. Thus far in 2024 there are only 10 new par cipants so hard to es mate with those numbers being all over the place. Below are the figures for this year so far:

January: 5

February: 0

March: 4

April: 1

May: 0

June: 0

Q3. Could you clarify if the requirement is solely to quote labor costs, or should we also include the prices for the pumps to be used?

Interested vendors should be quo ng the cost to provide the lacta on support services, all labor, equipment, materials and tools necessary to perform in accordance with the PWS in Sec on C.

Q4. If we need to provide the pumps, could you provide the number of CDC employees enrolled in the Lacta on Support Program?

Currently the program is u lizing 32 pumps and will require addi onal units for poten al new lacta on rooms as they become available. As men oned in the RFQ there about 43 rooms provided among 8 loca ons. The pumps will need to remain in the lacta on rooms for the dura on of the contract. Pumps will only be shipped when a new lacta on room is established. The program does allow for mothers to provide their own pumps, however if they choose to use the provided pumps, they must provide their own personal a achments. (hoses, tubes, suc on cups, etc). All consulta ons, support groups, and classes are virtual and held via zoom, teams, and/or other virtual pla orms. Mothers do have the opportunity to connect with each other through a dedicated Teams group. In 2022 there were 29 new members to register and become ac ve in the lacta on support services offered. In 2023 ac ve membership increased by 133 new registered par cipants. As of June 2024, it is reported that there are 9 new par cipants and reports indicate that there are currently 204 ac ve members. The consultant will need to follow up with mothers before they return to work. These mee ngs can be held virtually. Upon their return to work, a CDC employee will verify with each mother to ensure they received the “follow‐ up return to work” consulta on.

Q5. Is this requirement for fully remote services, or will it involve a combina on of remote and on‐site classes?

Both. Currently we promote CDC‐wide classes for mothers to par cipate in, with sessions typically held via Teams. But, the return to work consulta on can be in person or remote.

Q6. Who is the incumbent for this requirement? Incumbent:

Atlanta Lacta on LLC., 7530119C05988 – Aggregate Total Award Amount: $225,100.21

Q7. How many pumps stay at one loca on the whole term of the contract, and how many mes a year might we be shipping a pump to one of your smaller loca ons?

The pumps will need to remain in the lacta on rooms for the dura on of the contract. Pumps will only be shipped when a new lacta on room is established. The program does allow for mothers to provide their own pumps, however if they choose to use the provided pumps, they must provide their own personal a achments. ( hoses, tubes, suc on cups, etc).

Q8. Do you have a way to secure the pumps when they are in a loca on? Are the rooms locked when not in use?

Yes, the pumps stay in the lacta on rooms which are locked and secured by a facility employee. Each lacta on room will be monitored by a designated individual.

Q9. How many moms generally par cipate in the program each year? Is there a process in place for the moms to register for the program?

In 2022 there were 29 new members to register and become ac ve in the lacta on support services offered. In 2023 ac ve membership increased by 133 new registered par cipants. As of June 2024, it is reported that there are 9 new par cipants and reports indicate that there are currently 204 ac ve members. There is a registra on link provided for mothers to fill out, which will facilitate contact with the lacta on consultant.

Currently as of June 2024 there are 204 ac ve members.
