About this file
This document is a justification for other than full and open competition for a sole source contract award. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source purchase order to The Trustees of Columbia University In the City of New York for prospective long-term follow-up to COVID-19 infection with neurological manifestations. The justification cites unusual and compelling urgency under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(2) due to a cost extension request not being approved after the deadline to modify an existing contract with the same supplier. No further opportunity for competition will be provided and the period of performance is not specified.
