About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to the bidding and contract documents for the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget and Department of Natural Resources for the Waterloo/MUCC Archery project located at 2500 Pierce Road, Chelsea, Michigan 48118 in Washtenaw County. The project involves construction work scheduled to begin in Spring 2026 and must be completed by the first week of June 2026, representing a 90-day contract timeline. The addendum clarifies that the contractor is responsible for removing and relocating an existing shed as directed per Drawing Sheet C200, and that the project contains no mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) requirements. The contractor must provide their own power, water, temporary facilities, and generator, as these utilities and amenities may not be available at project start. The addendum was issued October 27, 2025, following a pre-bid meeting held October 22, 2025, at the project site with nine attendees representing various construction firms and environmental consulting companies.

The addendum requires contractors to submit an Asbestos Abatement Attestation form with all bids, pursuant to Public Entity Asbestos Removal Verification Act PA 59 of 2024. Contractors must attest whether they will self-perform asbestos abatement work or nominate a sub-contractor, and disclose any history of environmental violations or consent orders. The project involves no existing building structures other than the shed relocation, and while a soils report was referenced in the structural drawings, it will be made available upon request and included in the addendum. No test reports for asbestos or lead are provided, as issues are not anticipated given the absence of existing structures. The addendum modifications include updates to the Specification Cover Sheet, Table of Contents on page 12, and DCSpec page 7, with no changes to the drawings.
